New England Aster
An important late season species for pollinators. Many butterfly species utilize this plant and it is the host for several moths. Tall plants are filled with purple to pink blooms in early fall. This species is adaptable to many soils and drainages. Consider adding this plant to pasture plantings to benefit pollinators during the rest period for native grasses in early fall.
