There is a mixing charge applied to seed that is mixed. When ordering seed, the mixing charge will be applied when more than one seed is ordered, unless the customer requests the seed not to be mixed.
General Purchase (Non-Cost Share)
If you have a general order (not government or agency cost-share), place your order by calling or emailing us.
Please have the following information ready:
- Name
- Tax Exempt information (if needed)
- Species & seeding rate
During the initial call, other questions might be asked to help us better understand and serve your needs.
After placing the order, an invoice will be generated and emailed to you and the order will be ready for pick-up within 48 hours. We accept cash, check or credit card (3% fee on all card payments).
Cost-Share Purchase
If you are participating in a cost-share program, the agency you are working with must approve your particular seed mix. Often the agency will provide you with the approved mix for your project, oftentimes referred to as “Job Sheet for Seeding’. In other circumstances, they will provide seeding requirements to meet.
1. Obtain approved seed mix or seeding requirements from the agency you’re working with.
2. Either call or email the following information to so we can best serve you:
- ‘Job Sheet for Seeding’. This is the seed mix that the agency has put together for your planting.
- If a Job Sheet for Seeding WAS NOT ISSUED, send any information that the agency sent to you. If you have the name or the agency person you are working with, that can be helpful too.
- Will the purchase be agricultural exempt. If it is, see the Sales & Use Tax Exemption section below or ask for a MO149.
After we receive the information, a quote and a proposed seed tag will be issued and sent to you. You will send this to your agency to ensure that it meets guidelines or if it needs revised.

Sales and Use Tax Exemption Certificate
Under Missouri law, we are required to collect sales tax. If the products purchased are for agricultural use and you wish to not have tax collected, please provide a MO149 Sales and Use Tax Exemption Certificate. The form must be completed, signed, dated for sales tax removal.

Once the customer makes a purchase, sales tax will not be refunded for that purchase.
Return Policy:
Due to the perishable nature of seeds and live plants, all sales are FINAL. We do NOT accept returns or offer refunds or exchanges for any seeds, plants, or related live goods once they have been shipped or picked up.
We take great care to ensure the quality and viability of our products before they leave our facility. However, because growing and storage conditions are beyond our control once the product is delivered, we cannot guarantee performance and therefore cannot accommodate returns.
If you have any concerns about your order upon receipt, please contact us within 48 hours and we will do our best to assist you.

How Our Seed is Sold:
At Ozark Native Seed, the native seed that you purchased is based on Pure Live Seed weight. This simply means that you purchase seed based upon the seed that is guaranteed to be viable (live). You do not pay for empty or dead seeds, stems, leaves, dirt or any other contaminant. This ensures that you receive the amount of viable product that you need to make your native seeding a success.
Shipping:
Small orders are shipped USPS and large orders can be shipped via UPS. The shipping is prepaid and is added to your invoice unless prior arrangements are made.
