Passiflora incarnata

Passionflower is a vining perennial found in savannas, prairies, and old fields. Livestock readily consume this species in pastures. Uniquely shaped purple and white flowers bloom from June to September. Blooms occur along the length of the vine. Passionflower will vine and trellis over any nearby plant or structure. Passionflower produces large edible fruits in the fall.
