A common plant of the prairies of the high plains and southwest, this drought tolerant species occurs sporadically in Missouri. It is best used in mixes with smaller statured plants to highlight the bright yellow flowers. Flowering occurs between June and August and attracts many beneficial pollinators. Can be used in pasture plantings, but will decrease over time as grass and more dominant forb species become prevalent.

    • No Stratification needed. Can be spring planted in grass mixes from April – early June
