Tickseed Sunflower
Bidens aristosa
Tickseed sunflower is found in wet areas in prairies, bottomlands and wood edges. Annual plants are tall and have multiple yellow blooms that attract many pollinators. Seeds are eaten by birds in fall and early winter. Consider adding this species to plantings in wet areas. Tickseed sunflower will decrease over time, but returns after floods and other disturbances
